Decorate the World Tree of Hope at Grace Cathedral - Nov. 2-28

We would love your help to decorate the Tree. Please let us know specifically when you can help so we can add you to the schedule. We ask that people volunteer for a least a 3 or 4 hour time period. You are of course welcome to stay and help longer. Ages 13-99.

The World Tree of Hope is the largest origami holiday tree in the world, standing over 23 feet tall and decorated with over 17,000 origami cranes and stars, each hand folded and inscribed with wishes for the future of the world. The Tree is created as a symbol of global unity and hope, to promote peace, love and humanitarian action. https://www.worldtreeofhope.org

The decorating dates/times at Grace Cathedral (1100 California St.) are from Nov. 6-28:

Saturday, Nov. 6 from 10 AM to 6 PM Sunday, Nov. 7 from 10 AM to 6 PM (EVENT IS FULL)
Thursday, Nov. 11 from 10 AM to 6 PMFriday, Nov. 12 from 10 AM to 6 PM
Saturday, Nov. 13 from 10 AM to 6 PMSunday, Nov. 14 from 10 AM to 6 PM
Wednesday, Nov. 17 from 10 AM to 6 PMThursday, Nov. 18 from 10 AM to 6 PMFriday, Nov. 19 from 10 AM to 6 PM
Saturday, Nov. 20 from 10 AM to 6 PM Sunday, Nov. 21 from 10 AM to 6 PM
Saturday, Nov. 27 from 10 AM to 6 PM Sunday, Nov. 28 from 12: 30 PM to 5 PM

The tree lighting is on Monday, Dec. 6 from 7 pm to 8:30 pm.

We will take the tree down on Saturday, Jan. 8 from 10 am to 4 pm.

* Grace Cathedral requires that all volunteers be vaccinate for COVID-19. We will follow the most current safety SF guidelines.

Although Grace Cathedral graciously hosts tree by allowing us to display it there, the Tree is created by Rainbow World Fund https://www.rainbowfund.org as a symbol of global unity and universal love, it's purpose is purely humanitarian with the message that we are all one human family. It is open to everyone regardless of belief or non-belief
