Rainbow World Fund (RWF) is an international humanitarian aid charity based in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) and friends community. We promote LGBTQ philanthropy in the area of world humanitarian aid and help people who suffer from hunger, poverty, disease, oppression, and war.
RWF is looking for dedicated Board of Directors members to help us raise funds from the LGBTQ community for use in responding to global crises on behalf of the LGBTQ community. Responses include cash grants, supplies, and volunteer services.
Board Tasks
The RWF Board of Directors is responsible for the stewardship and financial viability of the organization. Tasks include assisting the Executive Director with governance issues, establishing policies and procedures, volunteering at and promoting RWF events, participating/coordinating and promoting RWF international missions, assisting with fundraising initiatives (grant writing, individual major donor solicitation, corporate sponsorship procurement, in-kind donation solicitation), agency marketing and communications support, and other duties as needed.
RWF is seeking volunteers with experience and expertise in the following areas:
Event Management/Travel Coordination
Legal Services
Programs Management/Liaison
Public/Media Relations/Communications/Social Media
Volunteer Coordination/Community Outreach
Development/fundraising
Meeting Date/Time/Place
RWF Board of Directors meets monthly (in person and/or by ZOOM) on the 2nd Tuesday
of each month, from 6:00-7:30 pm at the RWF office - time/date varies per member’s schedules.

Term of Service
Board of Directors members commit to serving for two calendar years, renewable by mutual agreement.
